Back from a long break!
I want to apologize to my readers for my long absence, I've been one busy mommy. My husband and I have found that we are to expect our third baby blessing in February, 2009! I am very much enjoying being a pregnant mommy again despite the morning sickness and usual 1st trimester discomforts. One thing I have found to help with the normal weariness and nausea is Glow Mama juice from www.drinktoglow.com.
Glow Mama is a natural and healthy drink for moms of all stages. There are no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, or preservatives and NO alcohol or caffeine! I love the kiwi flavor of Glow Mama - soooooo easy on my sensitive taste buds! LOL. Drinking Glow Mama keeps me energized too, which is a must with my active 2 year old! Typing is making me thirsty so I'm gonna head to the refrigerator. Check in soon - I'll be back before long this time. ;)

This week's Friday Feature Mom is Amanda Crawford of Spa Girl Parties. Here's what Amanda had to say about being a Spa Girl.
Why Spa Girl Parties?
Hi everyone! I am a Spa Girl Parties Consultant and a stay at home mom. I love my job and I actually get paid to have fun! To learn more about this great opportunity send me a message and I will send you some information.
Spa Girl Parties was founded by Di Ana Ford in 2004 and the company is growing very fast. All of our products are handmade and created by family-owned businesses from women all over the world. Our products have been featured in magazines including O the Oprah magazine, Allure, Lucky, & Cosmopolitan. Our products have No Lanolin which is a wax derivative of sheep's wool that can be allergy causing......there is NO Mineral Oil that leaves skin greasy and clogs the pores.....and we NEVER test on animals. Purchase "O" Magazine March 11, 2008 to see our terra cotta foot scrubber featured!
Many other companies that offer naturally based products have a very limited fragrance selection. Spa Girl Parties offers products that are infused with natural ingredients that FEED YOUR SKIN from the outside in, and are available in a wide variety of luscious scents. There is something for everyone at your parties! We offer bakery scented products, floral, fruity, tropical, cocktail, naturally scented products!
We offer a great hostess rewards program and monthly customer specials. Email me at spagirl724@hotmail.com to find out more! Join me on myspace at: http://www.myspace.com/spagirlpartiesrfun
Spa Girl Ingredients
In addition to our own line of Spa Girl Parties products we carry a line of extremely high-end products from Belle Lucce! We are the only company that Belle Lucce allows to carry their products at a discount. These are in many exclusive spas, and are the EXACT same products you would pay $125-$150 for elsewhere. These are made fresh daily and only with the BEST ingredients for your skin. I can't say enough how great this line is!!! You have to try the Cranberry Yuzu sugar scrub and you will be hooked for life!
Reduce the look of cellulite with Coffee!
Research shows that the diuretic effect of caffeine dehydrates fat cells, shrinking them by up to 50 percent to minimize the appearance of cellulite. Plus, the grainy grounds slough away dead cells while the oil moisturizes to reveal silky, glowing skin.
Here's more about our Bali Kopi Coffee Scrub:
This ultra-creamy scrub is studded with organic coffee beans and natural coffee absolute for an intoxicatingly rich java aroma. Cellulite is an unfortunate reality and those who suffer from lumpy thighs will rejoice in the discovery that caffeine is reputed to temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. Fight back with this coffee-enriched body scrub designed to shed dead cells to restore suppleness and improve skin texture. Since we only use fair trade, organic coffee from Pura Vida, our products help support their work to fortify coffee farming communities in Costa Rica. Indulge a bit, knowing your purchase is helping improve the world...and those thighs.
Jojoba Oil is a close match to a natural substance in your skin. Because of this, it absorbs quickly and does not leave a greasy feel. It’s also perfectly fine to use on acne prone skin because it does not clog pores. It helps repair and create defense against roughness and fine lines.
Grapeseed Oil has regenerative and restructuring qualities. It is very lightweight and non-allergenic. Especially useful around the eyes, it is also excellent on stretch marks.
Shea Butter has many, many uses. First and foremost, is deeply hydrating and excellent for very dry, rough skin. Use on dry, cracked heels and rough elbows to see fast healing results. Shea butter also helps with the elasticity of the skin, making it excellent to prevent or treat stretch marks. Shea butter is also sometimes used to help heal wounds, and is extremely gentle, so is great on babies’ skin. Many people find shea butter soothing on skin conditions such as Eczema as well.
Often, a product has more than interesting ingredients. There is something about the way that it works or feels that makes it unique. Let’s examine a few of those:
Bella Lucce Scrubs: These scrubs are all natural sugar scrubs that have a unique formulation – as you use them, the scrub emulsifies into a lotion, moisturizing your skin and then rinsing away clean. Most other scrubs are oil based and leave an oily residue. Bella Lucce scrubs are much cleaner, more luxurious scrubs because of their unique emulsifying properties.
Bella Lucce Lotions: These lotions are made with real honey and organic oils to nourish your skin, but the best part is that the “silk” in the name is exactly how they feel: silky smooth and they glide on forever. It takes significantly less of this product to cover your body than every other lotion I have ever tried. This is a fabulous selling point – more for the money! Plus the silky feel as it glides on is wonderful, and there is never a greasy residue – absorbs right into the skin!
Bella Lucce Body Washes: These contain no detergents, which means clean skinning without stripping away the moisture, and mango and shea butter to add moisture as you wash.

This week's Friday Featured mom is once again Charity Treat. This week we'll be taking a look at another of her businesses, Shaklee. Charity is truly one busy mama! She balances being a single disabled mom with her several businesses and still manages to homeschool those precious kids!
Here's what she had to say about her involvement with Shaklee.

| Read about our Environmental Leadership | ||
| Innovation. B-Complex tablets feature a patented folic acid coating, making this crucial nutrient more available for absorption by the body. |
| In the past decade alone, over 100 Shaklee-sponsored research papers have been published in major medical and nutritional scientific periodicals throughout the world, such as The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and The Journal of Applied Psychology. |
![]() | ||
| For 50 years, Shaklee has made it possible for people just like you to earn substantial incomes doing something they truly enjoy. |
| Shaklee has zero impact on global warming by offsetting 100% of its greenhouse gas emissions. For this innovative environmental leadership, Shaklee became the nation's first Climate Neutral Certified company. |
| Every day, NHI on Demand's professional research staff reviews hundreds of medical, scientific and nutrition journals. Each week, new studies are added and new articles written that reflect current thought in the emerging field of integrative medicine. These brief yet informative articles bring you health news as it happens allowing you to stay informed. |
I had my eye on Shaklee for about a year before I decided to try them. Honestly, I wanted to find something somewhere that would tell me the "truth" about Shaklee! I thought, surely this company can not be this good! So, after a year of researching. ..I found NOTHING negative about this company!! Then, I requested samples. Because, I thought okay, now I will see for myself that natural products just can't get the job done around the house! And again, Shaklee proved to me that going completely natural to clean, doesn't mean you have to lose the quality of the cleaners! And, at the same time, there is NO reason we have to dirty our earth to clean our houses! So, I have found Shaklee products do what they say they will do. I have found them to be easy to understand and the support of Shaklee is amazing. I am a single mom with three kids and I work Shaklee full time. I am also disabled with a special needs child. The products and the company have proven themselves over and over again. So if Shaklee could help us, think what it can do for your issues and concerns. Let me help, ask me questions. I am on a mission to spread the word about Shaklee, can you help me do that? Oh, by the way.....I have a 11 year old daughter and a 2 year old son who always wanted to help me clean. But because of the dangerous chemicals we previously used, I would not allow them to! Now, they use their own bottle of Basic H2 that they clean with. Would you do this with store bought cleaners?? YIKES....I hope not. | |||
