Back from a long break!

I want to apologize to my readers for my long absence, I've been one busy mommy. My husband and I have found that we are to expect our third baby blessing in February, 2009! I am very much enjoying being a pregnant mommy again despite the morning sickness and usual 1st trimester discomforts. * a child need to be read to 1000 times before they will learn to read them selves.

** a child should be read to 30 minutes a day even after they have learned to read themselves - keep reading to them above their reading level. it will help them continue to grow and build their vocabulary and comprehension.

*** Students with higher reading scores were more likely to report 4 types of reading materials in their homes. Encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers and at least 25 books.

**** The more a child sees you reading for pleasure, the more likely it is they will read fro pleasure!! So get some books foryourself too!!
